Lukas Rossi. Man, I don’t even know what to say. He was a write in candidate the week before last and I included him on last week’s poll for that reason. Thrilled doesn’t even begin to cover how I felt as I watched the votes come in. It was Lukas by a landslide and that tickles me in ways that I probably shouldn’t discuss with strangers on the internet. source: lukasrossichangedmylife.tumblr.comWe’re going to do things a bit differently this week. Instead of me rambling on between pictures, this week I’ll be rambling on between videos until we get to the 100+ picture gallery at the end. There is a reason for that, so indulge me for a moment while I explain. Lukas is absolutely gorgeous. His eyes crush my soul in the best possible way. Those lips? Forget it. So sexy. What makes Lukas appealing though goes far deeper than the physical attributes that could drive a woman mad. What makes Lukas appealing is the music. He pours his heart and soul into his craft and it shines through in the work he creates. He is an artist in the true sense of the word. When you listen to his songs, you know music isn’t just a hobby. It isn’t just the way he earns a paycheck. For Lukas Rossi, music is a way of life and he is generous enough to share that with the world. There are moments in life you wouldn’t trade for anything. The moment you realize you’re in love is one of those moments. The hair raises up on your arms. Your eyes feel like they’re going to burst from the weight of the tears you feel you have to hold back. You get that wonderfully sick feeling in the pit of your gut and you know for sure that something very important is happening. Sometimes you become a fan of an artist. You like them. You buy their music. You go to their concerts. Maybe you even pick up a t-shirt or two. Other times you fall in love with an artist. Seeing them perform makes you question whether or not you’ve ever heard music before. You not only want to buy their album, you want to buy everything they’ve ever released – singles, EPs, that one song they did that one time that you don’t know the name of but you need to have it anyway. But no, that’s not enough. You also want to make sure all of your friends buy all of that stuff. You want to spread the word near and far. You know your new favorite artist is the shit but you can’t rest until the rest of the world knows it too. When Lukas performed Creep by Radiohead on week six of Rock Star Supernova (one of my all-time favorite songs to begin with), I fell in love. When he performed his original song, Headspin, (which later appeared on Rock Star Supernova‘s self titled album) I know that love was the forever kind of love and it was. I am a proud Rossi Posse member to the end. It hasn’t always been an easy road for Lukas. There have been ups and down but through it all, Lukas has handled himself with dignity and class. Here’s my thought on the whole reality competition show deal. Screw it. Screw The Voice. Screw those in the industry that tosses Rock Star Supernova aside. Rock Star Supernova introduced my ears to the talents of Lukas Rossi and for that, I’ll be eternally grateful but the lack of faith some in the industry had in the band the public helped create was a little disgusting. Dropping them before they even went on tour was a colossal dick move but in the end, it doesn’t matter. Real Rossi fans knew they’d witnessed the birth of a star and will stick by him no matter what. What can I say about Super Sex Magic? The video is scorching hot. The song is the sort of dirty fun you absolutely have to listen to at full blast – rattle the windows with it. Magic indeed. I could talk for days about Lukas. I really, honestly could. I happened to notice, however, that people are already searching for Lukas’ profile (the Rossi Posse is a loyal, rabid bunch, yes?) so I’ll just get on with the show. First, let’s talk about the poll.As I mentioned, Lukas was a write in candidate for Man Candy the week before last so I put him on last week’s poll. He won by a freaking landslide, taking an impressive 86.6% of the vote. Next in line at a very distant second with 7.41% of the vote was Alex Pettyfer. The Vampire Diaries star Paul Wesley came in third with 4.44% of the vote and Ryan Gosling was fourth with 1.48% of the vote. That left Chris Hemsworth in fifth spot with, well, 0%. Sorry Chris. This week, your options are Alex, Paul and Ryan once again with three new additions – The Vampire Diaries’ newest villain, Joseph Morgan (Klaus), True Blood‘s Ryan Kwanten (as nominated by my pal Ashley who knows a thing or two about cute boys) and, in honor of Dexter‘s upcoming return, Michael C. Hall. Remember though, if you don’t like the choices, you can nominate a candidate and I’ll put them on the poll the following week.
